I know Friday 13th isn’t usually associated with good luck but today was a big win for Juliet Spare.
Last week I flew to Amsterdam, partly to get to lowdown on cycling over there for my Bike Feature but partly because my wife had won flights from BMI Baby at this year’s Media Awards. Being the persistant type, she mentioned the win at the check-in desk in an attempt to get an upgrade. We managed to get some extra leg room by a wing and the assistant asked “Are you normally lucky, to which my wife replied “Not really.” At that point I did have to remind her about our wedding!
However, when we landed in Amsterdam airport she received a phonecall telling her she’d won a classic mini from NEC Classic Car Show. We picked it up today and it’s a real beauty, made in 1960, she was also over the moon to find that they’d thrown in a classic radio, traditional picnic hamper and a complete car care set.
She also works for Smooth Radio and they mentioned it on this morning’s Breakfast Show.
